Develop the skills and confidence you need to present information, lead meetings, and guide problem solving or innovative discussions. Together we will explore the role of the facilitator in different situations, recognize challenges, and use simple strategies to bring everyone into the conversation and find the best solution.

In this 2-day workshop, you will:

  • Identify fundamental public speaking principles
  • Develop a talk or presentation
  • Prepare to facilitate or speak
  • Choose appropriate problem-solving techniques
  • Engage participants by using group discussion techniques
  • Manage challenging participants
  • Co-facilitate using best practices
  • Apply best practices for handouts, slides, and other visuals

Instructor

Catherine Doucette's (MEd, CTDP) passion is helping people and companies fulfill their potential by embracing challenges as positive forces for growth.

Along with more than two decades of experience, Catherine holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education and the professional designation of Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP). She also has earned certifications in both The Simplexity Thinking System (for Innovation, Strategic Planning, and Team Building) and Experiential Learning (David A. Kolb’s model).

Catherine loves mentoring the next generation of leaders. She teaches Management Skills in the MBA program at the University of New Brunswick and is the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the New Brunswick Community College in Saint John.
