Contribute to success

Every year, we contact our friends and alumni to give them the opportunity to stay connected with the  University of New Brunswick and help today’s students.

Between October and April, you may receive a letter UNB and/or phone call from a student telling you how you can make a difference and asking for your support. Click on the video to hear two of our student callers talk about what the Alumni Annual Giving campaign means to them.

The Annual Giving Campaign raises funds for ongoing needs such as scholarships and bursaries, libraries, and unrestricted funding that can be used where the need is greatest.  Friends and Alumni can choose to support any project they wish, on either campus.  Because we’re combining so many people’s gifts, the cumulative total makes a huge impact. The Annual Giving Office runs several other campaigns every year including:

President’s Fund

The President’s Fund exists to support initiatives that help us achieve our mission and encourage student success.  By supporting the fund, you help us meet short-term needs while building a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Click here to donate online.

Friends of the Varsity Reds

The Friends of the Varsity Reds program allows donors to support student-athletes in a variety of sports. Funds raised through the program are directed to athletic awards that help recruit and retain student-athletes and keep our teams on the national stage.

Beaverbrook Scholars Awards

Since 1979, former Beaverbrook Scholarship recipients have been contributing to the Beaverbrook Scholars Award Fund. This fund provides Beaverbrook Scholars Awards to outstanding graduates of New Brunswick high schools who are beginning undergraduate degrees at UNB and are in financial need.

Friends of the Alumni News

Donors to the Friends of the UNB Alumni News campaign are very important to the ongoing distribution of this special magazine, and ultimately, to maintaining our connection with our ever-growing circle of readers.
