CRSP Preparation Course

If you are an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) professional with three or more years of experience, you may be eligible for the CRSP® designation.

The CRSP® is a designation that provides evidence of professional status and experience that many employers request. Under the charter from the federal government, the designation is awarded to those persons who have achieved a professional level of competence in accident prevention. The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP®) awards the CRSP® to a select few academically qualified, technically prepared candidates. The University of New Brunswick's (UNB) CRSP® Preparation course is a critical tool to help you to earn your CRSP® designation.

We are pleased to offer a CRSP® Preparation course designed to help aspiring CRSP's® write the board exam successfully. The failure rate of the CRSP® exam has typically been about 40-60%. The most intimidating aspect of the exam is the depth and comprehensive nature of the information. The CRSP® Preparation course is the best way to prepare for and conquer the exam successfully.

This course is available completely online, in a self-paced learning format, and you can register at any time. It is the only course of its kind in Canada. Find out how you can obtain your CRSP today!

Recently the Board of Canadian Safety Professionals announced the release of an updated blueprint for the Canadian Registered Safety Professional Examination. In response to this news, UNB has redeveloped the CRSP® Preparation Course (COHS 2000) to align with the new blueprint. The revised course (COHS 2002) is now available for those preparing for the CRSP® Exam.

The CRSP® Preparation course has been developed by CRSP®s and other experts in the field of OHS. The course materials follow the learning competencies offered by the BCRSP® and the course spans all of the nine domains represented in the 2015 BCRSP® Examination Blueprint. It allows for and ensures an intense review of the domain material. A major focus of the course is online practice exam writing; accessing the hundreds of questions hosted in the examination database. The online exam format best approximates the actual online exam and includes an extensive collection of independent type multiple choice exam questions.

This course enables participants to identify their individual strengths and weaknesses on a domain-by-domain basis and enables them to focus on their final study needs right up to the exam day.
