As part of the government’s plan to cut pollution, grow the economy and build healthier communities for all Canadians, Natural Resources Canada will announce support for climate change adaptation in the forest sector on Monday, April 15 at 10 a.m. in the Chancellor’s Room at the Wu Conference Centre.

Matt DeCourcey, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, on behalf of the Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, announces research funding to support Dr. Van Lantz project Costs and Benefits of Adapting to Climate-Induced Changes in Drought and Wind Regimes in New Brunswick’s Forests.

The research project will focus on the socio-economic costs and benefits of adapting to climate-induced changes, such as drought and wind, in Atlantic Canada’s forests.
