Government student loans
Both the federal government and every province across Canada offers student financial assistance to those attending post-secondary. The criteria for applying for and getting funding through both the federal and provincial governments varies from province to province. Therefore, it is important that you contact the Financial Aid Office in your province to determine your eligibility. Please note that you must apply through the province in which you are considered a resident. If you are studying out-of-province, you still apply through your home province.
Thinking of withdrawing? If so, be sure you find out how withdrawing, whether it is dropping altogether or just going from full time to part time, affects your student loan. Email the Financial Aid Office for more information or click here.
