Safe Spaces

safe spaces sticker

The UNB Safe Spaces Project is a student-led initiative that involves displaying stickers on doors, in offices, and in residence rooms across campus.  These stickers declare that an area is a safe place to be open about one's sexual orientation or gender identity without fear of homophobia, transphobia, or harassment.  All students, staff and faculty are welcome.

Why is it important?

University is place for students to learn about the world and further develop one's identity.  We want to ensure that UNB is a safe and welcoming place for all students, faculty, and staff regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.   We are a community that supports and cares for one another.
