Meet Student Accessibility Centre (SAC) Team

Barbie Doucette, Administrative Assistant & Test/Examinations Coordinator, B.A.

Barbie is the first point of contact for our students and visitors. She's the cheerful face you'll meet when you visit. Barbie provides information about our services in addition to helping direct students to other services on campus. She books appointments for students and is responsible for coordinating arrangments for students who recieve test and examination accommodations. If you qualify for test/exam accommodations, Barbie will work with you to set up your test/exam accommodations to be written at SAC.

Pat Dingwall, Transition and Accommodations Facilitator, B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed

Pat oversees the Sucessful Transition to Employment Program (STEP) and works collaboratively with team members to provide a range of orientation and transition opportunities for students registered with SAC. Pat also assists with accommodation arrangements and learning supports for individual students. She arranges mentors for students who need help navigating the challenges of university life and into the world of careers and employment.

Kelley Flowers, Disability Resource Coordinator, B.A., M.Ed (in progress)

Kelley provides a range of services for students with disability-related needs. She meets with students on a regular basis and arranges accommodations, programs and services for individual students. She helps students apply for funding for assistive technology, tutoring and other types of support. She tracks down electronic versions of text books and sets up note-taking support if needed. She is a strong advocate for every student she serves working collaboratively with instructors, support staff, and community agencies.

Jody Gorham, Director, B.Ed., M.Ed. (Curr.), M.Ed. (Sp.Ed)

Jody provides leadership and strategic direction for SAC. She is responsible for ensuring that students with disability related needs are provided the academic accommodations, services and supports that they need. Jody is also responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the Centre, liaising with the University and greater Fredericton community. Jody brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the centre and the students we serve.
