The University of New Brunswick's Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. This position has an anticipated start date of 1 July 2023, or later as may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
This is an opportunity to join a small but powerful department with a strong international reputation in teaching and research, at a time of growth and new opportunities. Forward-thinking applicants with experience in university teaching in the field of geomatics engineering are sought for the position.
The successful applicant will join the faculty team at UNB Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering. They will be expected to flexibly deliver a broad range of courses, including courses taught in a hybrid form, focusing on the areas of surveying, geodesy, land use planning, and GIS. They are expected to assume the role of Director of Undergraduate Studies and to be active in other service roles, including engagement with professional, national, and international communities. They should remain familiar with scholarship of teaching and learning, and actively maintain their teaching competency.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Geomatics Engineering and have experience teaching at the university level, as well as experience in service roles. They must be eligible and willing to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of New Brunswick as a condition of tenure, and ideally be affiliated with a professional land surveying association.

The Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering comprises 7 full-time faculty members guiding approximately 100 undergraduate and 60 graduate students. Faculty members maintain active collaborations with regional, national, and international partners.
