Graduating with concurrent degrees?
Receiving two degrees at the same ceremony
Graduates receiving more than one degree at a given ceremony should make themselves known to the University Marshal at the Orientation Session. The University Marshal will provide you with specific instructions regarding receiving your second degree.
Receiving two degrees at separate ceremonies
If a graduate is receiving two degrees and those degrees are being granted at different ceremonies, the graduate has the option to attend either or both ceremonies.
Concurrent grads are asked to contact the Registrar's Office
Concurrent degree graduates planning to attend graduation are asked to contact the Registrar's Office by phone, (506) 453-4864, or email firstname.lastname@example.org, in addition to filling out the application to graduate form. This will ensure that you receive guest tickets for the appropriate ceremonies, and allow you to request that a second degree be held for pick-up or mailed if you are attending only one ceremony.
Academic attire for concurrent grads
Concurrent degree graduates requiring hoods for both degrees will have the option to request two hoods when reserving academic attire online. The rental cost for picking up two hoods will be the same as for picking up one. However, if both hoods are not returned with the gown, grads will be responsible for paying replacement costs for both. If a graduate picks up hoods for two different ceremonies before the first ceremony, all the academic attire may be returned by 6 p.m. on the day of the second ceremony.
