The programs equip students with a broad marine biology education and immersive, in-field learning opportunities.

Immersive marine semesters

The intensive 12-week programs take students to ecologically diverse sites throughout the Bay of Fundy, providing them with hands-on experience studying diverse marine organisms like whales, seals, algae, fish and invertebrates.

Designed to promote critical thinking and expose students to innovative research in marine biology, these semesters include lectures, research seminars, discussions, labs, field trips and independent research projects.

Prioritizing experiential learning opportunities

By choosing to study marine biology at UNB, you’ll benefit from working alongside internationally-recognized professors, taking part in unique marine semesters and immersive learning experiences.

And you won’t just graduate with a Bachelor of Science – you’ll be equipped with the hands-on experience, knowledge and skills needed to qualify for a wide range of employment opportunities across industries.
