Karen Ludwig, MA, MEd, CITP
International Trade Management
Karen joined the Faculty of Business Administration in 2002.
She was nominated for Allan P. Stuart for Excellence in Teaching in 2009 at UNB.
Karen currently is working on her PhD in Higher Education Administration with the University of Phoenix. She attended the University of New Brunswick and received a Master of Education degree in 2007 with a major in Adult Education.
She also earned her Certified International Trade Practitioner designation (CITP) in 2002 from the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) in Ottawa. She received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Guelph in 1989.
She is currently employed with Meritus University in the role of Director, Academic Affairs. Karen and her husband are partners in Sticks and Stone Fabricating in St. Stephen, NB. Sticks and Stones Fabricating opened in 2007.
In 2009 Sticks and Stones Fabricating was given the New Brunswick new exporter award at Export Achievement Awards, a joint initiative of Business New Brunswick and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters.
Prior to joining Meritus University, Karen was employed with the New Brunswick Community College as an instructor and e-learning leader. At NBCC, she designed online courses, taught international business, and supervised students during their Cuban study terms..
One of Karen’s goals is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. She was seven minutes short of qualifying at her last marathon.
She looks forward to her new age category with a slower Boston qualifying time!
