Research Opportunities

There is always room for someone with an NSERC or equivalent scholarship.

Main areas of interest in the near future are movement patterns of puffins and razorbills breeding on Machias Seal Island, and integrating our burgeoning dataset there with fisheries & oceanographic data to explain recent significant changes in the marine ecosystem.

At a more fundamental level, explanation of ornamentation in both sexes of sexually monomorphic species such as the puffin is an intriguing challenge.
