Setup Wireless (Wi-Fi)

Have you heard? This summer, ITS and ISS are upgrading UNB’s wireless (Wi-Fi) equipment to make Wi-Fi at UNB faster and more reliable. At the same time, we’re switching from the myUNB WiFi network name to eduroam, giving you Wi-Fi access at UNB as well as other universities and institutions around the world. Learn more.

Connect to UNB’s new Wi-Fi (eduroam)

If you need help setting up Wi-Fi on your device, please contact the IT Service Desk.

1. If you have previously connected to myUNB WiFi or eduroam, forget them from your device’s list of available networks. Open your 'Settings' menu and tap 'Wi-Fi'. Click on myUNB WiFi or eduroam, and click 'Forget This Network."

2. Select eduroam from your device’s list of available networks.

3. Connect using your:

  • ‘UNBloginID@unb.ca’ (ex: jdoe@unb.ca) - don’t forget the ‘@unb.ca’
  • UNB password

Enter your UNB password when prompted

4. 'Accept' or 'trust' the certificate when prompted. Please note that this message may appear different on your device.
