On Sept. 26, ITS will be changing UNB’s bulk/spam email filtering system to a Microsoft solution.

What this means to you

Over the next few weeks, you may notice an increase in spam email delivered to your inbox while we transition between systems. Don’t worry, this is only temporary - our new spam filtering system will become smarter with time and is expected to decrease overall spam in the long run.

What should I do when I receive spam in my inbox?

Please mark the spam email as junk. To do this in Outlook:

  1. Select the spam email.
  2. In the Outlook menu, click ‘Junk’, then mark it as ‘Junk’.Â
