UNB's cybersecurity training is part of UNB’s Co-Curricular Program, so you can earn an activity credit in the Civic/Social Responsibility theme simply by successfully completing the training.

How do I access the training?

  1. You must enroll in Beauceron to access the training. Note: by clicking the link, you’ll be instantly enrolled.
  2. Within 24 hours, you’ll have a Cybersecurity Awareness link in your myUNB portal launch menu to access the training. You’ll also receive a Welcome email from Beauceron with instructions on how to get started.

How does the training work?

You’ll be guided through brief lessons about cybersecurity and presented with a few short surveys and quizzes. Once all your tasks are completed, you’ll begin receiving simulated phishing emails to test your knowledge of the material. If you click on something you shouldn’t, you’ll receive a friendly message from Beauceron reminding you to be vigilant when responding to potential threats.

How long does it take?

The training should take less than one hour to complete. This can be done all at once or in multiple sittings – whatever works best with your schedule.

Is it mandatory?

Beauceron is currently voluntary for students; however, faculty and staff are required to complete the training.
