Improving patient care

With the rapid growth in collaborative health education and research taking place on our Tucker Park campus, we are thrilled to launch a new Chair in Patient and Family-Centred Care and Interprofessional Practice.

Collaboration lives here

UNB Saint John is the logical location for this Chair, given our partners in Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, New Brunswick Community College Allied Health programs and Horizon Health Network already work with us on a variety of initiatives.

This Chair, through its research and outcomes, will be teaching healthcare professionals how to learn with, from and about each other to improve the care given to patients, while at the same time making sure patients and their families are actively engaged in the process.

Improved patient care

This Chair will not only produce some of the most anticipated research in the health sciences field, but will improve the way health care is delivered in New Brunswick by placing the focus squarely on patients and their families.
