YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Director, the HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) Research Developer will conduct research and development that aligns with SPECTRAL, manage project deliverable, work closely with other staff members of the group and with research student, in particular in the area of spatial computing and mixed reality.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent level of education and work experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Minimum of 5 years in technical development positions in an information technology and/or R&D environment.

 


Additional Strengths

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in academic projects that lead to publication would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in game development engines, mixed reality, Unity/Unreal Engine, 3D graphics, OpenGL experience, and experience with computer vision would be considered an asset.

 

 

 

WHO WE ARE:

 

 

 

SPECTRAL (The Spatial Computing Education, Training, and Research Lab) is a research and development, industry liaison and training, student education unit that operates in close collaboration with regional, national, and international collaborators from aerospace and other industries to support needs around spatial computing and mixed reality (including virtual and augmented reality). SPECTRAL is a research centre within the Faculty of Computer Science.

 

 

 

This position is part of the PSAC, Local 60551 employee group and falls under the PTSU Collective Agreement.
