Salary Range:

$46,711.00 - $60,727.00 per annum

YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Director of the Stable Isotypes in Nature Laboratory (SINLAB), the Laboratory is responsible for the supervision and training of technicians, client communications, the administration of the laboratory and the maintenance of equipment and data records relating to the scientific analysis samples in the SINLAB.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Master of Science in Biology or Chemistry
  • Analytical laboratory experience.

  • General administrative skills, including strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365, IRMS and Isodat NT.
  • Analytical thinking/judgement.

WHO WE ARE:

 

 

 

The SINLAB is a globally recognized teaching and commercial facility specializing in the use of Stable Isotopes to answer ecological questions. In addition to supporting a dynamic research team at UNB, we serve an international clientele of researchers (28 countries to date). Our clients come from academic, government and private industries working in terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecosystems. The facility, located in the Biology Department, was established in 1999 and houses 2 Mass spectrometers, 4 elemental analyzers, and a gas bench.

 

 

 

This position is part of the PSAC, Local 60551 employee group and falls under the PTSU Collective Agreement.
