Salary Range:

$45,973.00 - $57,465.00 per annum

Reporting to the Production Strategist, this position is responsible for all facets of production, including, but not limited to, concept and storyboard development, location scouting, project managing, editing, organizing, and archiving all multimedia assets.




























  • A bachelor's degree in multimedia, film, communication, broadcast journalism or a related field.











  • Experience with film and/or photography and implementation of digital media theory and storytelling.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in video and/or photo editing including image manipulation or techniques using Adobe Creative Cloud (OSX).
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.


Additional Strengths












  • Experience in the design of motion graphics layout, and/or computer-generated animation is an asset.
  • Experience in sound and lighting design, colour correction, colour grading, etc. is an asset.
  • Ability to pitch original story ideas and manage the creative process.
  • Experience using project management programs (Basecamp, Asana, etc.).








The Strategic Communications & Marketing (SCM) Office reports to the President's Office and is responsible for delivering insight-focused and performance-driven brand leadership, communications, marketing, public relations, creative services, media relations and issues management. The SCM office focuses on four areas: shaping our story, building our brand, elevating our reputation and cultivating our people. For each area, strategic actions, outputs, outcomes and success metrics are identified and will align our work while advancing the university's strategic vision. Members of the office work in close collaboration with other university units across both campuses to implement strategies, develop performance standards and monitor the effectiveness of those strategies.




This position is part of the non-union Administrative, Professional and Technical (APT) group.
