Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

 

 

 

Salary Range:

$50,648.00 - $65,848.00 per annum

YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Departmental Chair of Chemistry, the Science Stores Manager is responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing chemicals, laboratory supplies and equipment to researchers and instructors across the university.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • 2 years relevant post-secondary education (college or university).
  • 5 years related chemical experience and/or storeroom operations.

 


Additional Strengths

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and digital databases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with shipping (domestic and international).
  • Experience/training in hazardous spill response, first aid/CPR, Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems (WHMIS).

 

 

 

WHO WE ARE:

 

 

 

The Department of Chemistry includes 15 faculty and seven full-time staff. We teach over 1000 unique undergraduate students each year from multiple faculties. Chemistry Faculty members supervise over 25 research-based graduate students and a similar number of undergraduate student researchers as they undertake innovative externally-funded research projects in diverse areas of chemistry.

 

 

 

This position is part of the PSAC, Local 60551 employee group and falls under the PTSU Collective Agreement.
