Salary Range:
$50,125.00 - $65,148.00 per annum

YOUR FOCUS:
- Provide information to prospective students, attendance at Student leadership conferences school visits, student tours, and guidance counselors information sessions and responding to student inquiries.
- Participate in on- and off-campus events promoting UNB and Renaissance College specifically.
- Liaise with the UNB student recruitment office to strengthen recruitment efforts in both departments.
- Develop strategies and implement a communication plan to convert accepted students into confirmed students.
- Liaise with the admissions office to review student applications and make admission decisions.
- Develop, plan, and implement student transition programs including orientations.
- Assist students in exploring their strengths and interests. Construct an academic plan that satisfies program requirements and relates to the student's individual and career aspirations.
- Refer students to campus resources and departments. Act as an advocate for students, where appropriate.
- Monitor students' academic performance. Recommend strategies and programs to support success.
- Develop strong relationships with other academic advisors and department staff to support student success.
- Assist student learning and understanding of UNB policies, regulations, and academic requirements.
- Keep students informed of important academic dates such as add/drop, last day to withdraw, deadlines for scholarship, and graduation applications.
- Monitor course enrollment and make recommendations to the dean regarding wait lists, section requirements, and course cancellations based on demand and course availability.
- Schedule courses and room assignments.
- Perform graduation audits and send approved graduation list to the registrar's office.
- Transfer credit assessments for internal and external transfer students.
- Serve on various committees as determined by the dean.
- Plan and organize student recognition events.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- University degree in a relevant field.
- 3 - 7 years' experience in a post-secondary setting working with students.

- Analytical and critical thinking, collaboration, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven collaboration and development of programing across faculties and departments as part of student transition programs, student development, academic advising and recruiting.
- Appreciative advising experience, understanding of transition theory and student development theory.
- Mental health first aid training.
