Salary Range:
$49,263.00 - $65,148.00 per annum

YOUR FOCUS:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners domestically and internationally.
- Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures pertaining to the internships,
- Facilitate departure and return process for international internships (flights, insurance, immunization, etc.).
- Develop and ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols for students traveling internationally.
- Serve as students' first point-of-contact in case of emergency situations related to internships on a 24/7 basis,
- Coordinate with other UNB units to ensure student access to all relevant campus resources.
- Mentor students searching for internships. Work with organizations to develop and approve placements, including vetting potential partners through site visits.
- Manage internship bursaries and scholarship.
- Identify and review potential internship placements for the quality of their leadership and cross-cultural learning opportunities, which can entail visits with potential partners abroad.
- Prepare and lead internship preparatory classes throughout the fall and winter terms.
- Serve as academic supervisor while students are onsite during internship placements.
- Plan and organize community life activities in collaboration with Renaissance College faculty, staff, and students, including liaising with the Renaissance Student Society (RCS).
- Participate in student orientation.
- Attend community life events, helping to ensure success of events.
- Facilitate connections between current students and RC alumni.
- Advise the Dean on matters of internships and experiential learning.
- Participate in Renaissance College and UNB committees where appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Post-Secondary Education in Social Sciences or Humanities with a focus on inter-cultural communication, international development, or experiential education.
- Experience mentoring students at the university level.
- 3-5 years' experience sending students abroad, and experience working with community organizations in Canada and abroad.
Additional Strengths
- Experience working or living abroad would be an important asset.
- Must be available to travel at short notice to address emergency situations.
- Outstanding inter-cultural communication skills (another language is an asset).
- High level of tolerance to change, risks and uncertainties.
- Ability to work and make decisions under pressure.
- Positivity, empathy, and initiative.
