Salary Range:
$18.59 - $22.02 per hour

YOUR FOCUS:
- Catalogue maintenance, including updating shelf locations, deleting items withdrawn from the collection, and editing of bibliographic records.
- Produce spine labels and perform end-processing tasks.
- Maintain library statistics related to catalogue maintenance and end-processing of materials.
- Charge and discharge books, collect fines, apply library policies, communicate with patrons, and provide directional and reference help.
- Open and close the Law Library, which involves the supervision of student assistants, handling cash, and securing the building.
- Liaise with faculty members each term to determine what print materials are needed for course reserves.
- Clone existing courses for the next academic term and add new print items to individual course reserves in the system.
- Maintain continuing reserve collections by adding and removing print items in consultation with the Head Law Librarian.
- Maintain reserve records to ensure accuracy and copyright compliance.
- Perform check-in of serial government publications in an electronic file and process them for shelving. Shelve government documents and maintain the collection in good order.
- Assist with packing/unpacking of rare books to and from preservation companies. End processing of rare books.
- Shelve and retrieve books from the library storage area and the library's rare books room.
- Maintain new books display. Shift books in storage.
- Assist with processing of donations, including comparing conditions, replacing items, appending bookplates, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- University Degree in a related field is desirable. Completion of Library Assistant or Library Technician program is considered an asset.
- Three (3) years of related experience including end processing and catalogue maintenance. Previous library work is considered an asset.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft O365, including Outlook and Word.
- Knowledge of OCLC's WorldShare and WorldCat Discovery.
