$57,140.00 - $74,284.00 per annum

YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Director, the Security Systems Engineer & Lab Technician is responsible for the design and development of various cybersecurity solutions and teaching. The ideal candidate will bring architectural and engineering experience in designing and developing the security arena, including network, application and operational focus across network-related technologies and services.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • University degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology with Cybersecurity designation. Master's degree in appropriate related cybersecurity designation will be an asset.
  • At least 5 years related hands-on experience with security network devices such as firewalls, switches, SIEM, Antivirus, cryptography, etc. and other security networking hardware/software tools.

  • Demonstrated teaching abilities and knowledge of online educational delivery tools.
  • Expertise in access control, authorization & authentication technologies: PAM, Active Directory, LDAP, security fundamental networking protocols: DNS, NTP.
  • Exceptional communication skills & able to interact with stakeholders & students.
  • Fluency in French (spoken and written) would be an asset.
  • Expertise in the security of multiple operating systems. Especially: Windows and Linux. CySA+, Network+ and Security+, and CISSP Certifications Highly Recommended.

The Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary training, research & development, and entrepreneurial unit that operates in close collaboration with researchers in the social sciences, business, computer science, engineering, law, and science, and other research Centres. Established in 2016, CIC serves as one of the very few institutes where the researchers and practitioners can come together in a collegial atmosphere to share innovative ideas and thoughts and carry out multidisciplinary research and training.

 

 

 

This position is part of the PSAC, Local 60551 employee group and falls under the PTSU Collective Agreement.
