YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Department Chair, the Secretary PL5 is responsible for performing the department's day-to-day administrative, operational, secretarial, and technical duties as well as coordinating, supervising, and prioritizing the activities of two department office staff and possibly work study or summer students. This position works independently on assignments and issues to meet the needs of the chair, faculty, staff, and students within the department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • A Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.

  • Proficiency in of Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.

  • Knowledge of Colleague UI and Informer 5 Reporting is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a university environment would also be an asset.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering hosts approximately 300 undergraduate students, 90 graduate students, 14 faculty members, and 8 full-time staff; and offers undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering (in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Science).

 

 

 

This position is part of the UNIFOR, Local 4504 employee group and falls under the SALAC Collective Agreement.
