Salary Range:
$22.02 - $26.05 per hour

YOUR FOCUS:
- Maintain office account budgets, track expenditures, prepare annual submissions for budgeting, and maintain various project/special accounts.
- Prepare and process staffing forms and various financial forms, including but not limited to cheque requisitions, travel advances, expense claims, bank deposits, etc.
- Obtain quotes and complete requests for purchase orders for various accounts.
- Assist with recruiting for positions and set up interview schedules with candidates.
- Allocate office and lab areas in Head Hall, Old Head Hall and Gillin Hall for graduate students and visiting researchers.
- Maintain confidential and working files.
- Coordinate the administration of student opinion surveys as coordinator for the department.
- Prepare job ads and contracts for part-time sessional appointments as per departmental policies.
- Organize/coordinate interviews for vacant faculty positions and complete appointment forms.
- Arrange department meetings, prepare agendas, attend meetings, take minutes, and distribute.
- Consult with the Chair and compile individual staffing, teaching workloads, and standing committee duty lists.
- Assist with the coordination of events for various undergraduate and graduate student organizations.
- Maintain office equipment, order supplies and any required service.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
Additional Strengths
- Proficiency in of Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with accounting practices.
- Knowledge of Colleague UI and Informer 5 Reporting is considered an asset.
- Previous experience working in a university environment would also be an asset.
- A willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
