The University of New Brunswick Saint John welcomes applications for the position of Research Assistant with the Centre for Research in Integrated Care (CRIC) out of UNB Saint John. This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week) one-year term position with the APT employee group. The position is funded by external monies with a salary range of $42,447 - $53,067 per annum.
The Research Assistant will assist in all stages of the research process, including with the development and submission of grant applications; conducting reviews of the literature; contributing to the evaluation of integrated models of care; and assisting with knowledge translation. The Research Assistant will also provide support to the stakeholders, staff, faculty, and students who are affiliated with CRIC.
Position Summary:
- Provide research project support. Secure funding, complete research ethics board applications, and oversee project deliverables.
- Conduct background research, including systematic and scoping reviews of the literature.
- Support the evaluation of new and existing health service delivery models, including leading qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
- Contribute to knowledge translation activities, including publications, presentations, research summaries, reports, and website development.
- Support trainee supervision and provide guidance for relevant projects and/or tasks.
Requirements/Skills:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., health, science, or social sciences).
- Experience with conducting health research, this includes qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies.
- Experience searching online article database and preparing and submitting grant applications.
- Ability to work efficiently using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with knowledge translation plans and tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience conducting systematic and scoping reviews; working on a research team; and/or with graphic design would be considered an asset.
- French bilingualism would be considered an asset.
