Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

 

 

 

Salary Range:

$40,431.00 - $50,545.00 per annum

YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Director, Digital Research & Scholarship, the Publishing Systems Technician works with the Publishing Services Coordinator and other staff of the Centre for Digital Scholarship (CDS), its clients, and its partners to format, mark-up, design, and publish scholarly content through a variety of digital platforms.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • University degree with at least two years of relevant experience (IT - or other tech-related support, content management), preferably in an academic environment.

 


Additional Strengths

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Experience with a variety of computer programs, including but not limited to Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Oxygen and Atom editors, Gemini, lnFix, etc.
  • Technical expertise in formatting, marking up, and managing content across several platforms and utilizing specialized equipment.
  • Attention to detail, excellent skills in communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Understanding of academic context and the publishing needs that arise therein.
