Mon - Fri | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm | 40 hours per week

 

 

Overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.

 

 

Salary:

$19.94 per hour

YOUR FOCUS:

 

 

The Labourer performs manual work in the performance of semi-skilled tasks, of a physically demanding nature. WHAT YOU BRING:

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge/training of occupational hazards and safety practices for heavy lifting/labour.
  • Ability to carry out physical requirements of the position, including the ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • A telephone for callouts in the event of inclement weather and emergencies.
  • A valid class five (5) Driver's License is considered an asset.

Capital Planning & Operations is responsible for the maintenance and care of over 80 buildings and 152 acres of campus properties as well as the related services throughout the Fredericton campus at the University of New Brunswick. Our department is comprised of seven units: Administration and Finance, Energy & Sustainability, Maintenance & Operations, Planning, Projects, Security & Traffic and Real Estate & Strategic Property Development.

 

 

This position is part of the UNIFOR, Local 4504 employee group and falls under the GLTA Collective Agreement.
