The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Project Coordinator with the Faculty of Kinesiology. This is a 1-year term, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $39,499 - $49,375 per annum.
The main role of the project coordinator will be to facilitate the development, implementation, and management of exercise programs across Canada offering opportunities for people in the community to exercise. The coordinator will work closely with our research partners to implement these projects.
Position Summary:
- Coordinate the delivery of research projects including managing students and external staff to meet objectives.
- Implement and monitor exercise programs related to the project with community partners.
- Analyze statistics and evaluation findings, as well as prepare evaluation and monitoring reports
- Develop the evaluation frameworks, reports and data collection tools (surveys, questionnaires) to be used in interactions with project components.
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates resources to the activities.
- Ensure all project researchers and administrators follow requirements, timelines and financial obligations.
- Develop partnerships with communities and outside groups that will assist in enhancing programs.
- Compose and submit ethic applications and reports to funding agencies.
- Assist with the development and composition of scientific paper/grant submission documentation for various research grants.
- Prepare marketing materials including pamphlets, and posters to promote all projects, through various mediums.
- Develop and maintain electronic promotion materials related to projects.
- Manage the CELLAB's social media accounts.
- Assist with organizing networking events with funding agencies.
- Assist with other ongoing research projects within the CELLAB as needed.
Requirements/Skills:
- An undergraduate degree in kinesiology, recreation, sport management or a combination of education and experience with 1-3 years of related experience.
- Relevant work experience in a research setting.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience in project management. Experience with administrative data would be an asset.
- Analytical and critical thinking, and the ability to solve problems.
- Ability to manage others effectively.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, strong communication and writing skills; French would be an asset.
