The University of New Brunswick Saint John welcomes applications for the position of Student Development & Engagement Coordinator with the Faculty of Business. This is a one-year, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $45,210 - $56,511 per annum.
Reporting to the Director of the MBA Program, this position will provide outcomes-based strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive personal and professional development program. Working within the context of University and AACSB accreditation regulations, the program's student-centric focus, and School of Graduate Studies requirements, the Student Development and Engagement Specialist will develop, implement an alumni engagement and tracking strategy.
Position Summary:
- Develop and implement a strategic and impactful orientation program for incoming students.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, relevant, and strategic 12-month program of personal and professional development.
- Identify networking opportunities for students and manage participation.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive alumnus tracking and engagement plan.
- Develop of a calendar of community events.
- Manage table and event booking, student matching, and tracking.
- Develop, implement, and track a robust mentorship program.
- Develop a strategic plan to effectively engage alumni in student events, orientation and PD, and other student-facing activities.
- Create a database of information from alumni surveys for program and accreditation purposes.
- Match programming to student, industry, and social needs.
- Track and report participation.
- Develop and propose a yearly budget and operate within an approved budget amount.
- Propose and submit yearly work plan with target outcomes.
- Develop and populate a strategic CRM database, integrated into a larger Program CRM, for historical tracking of PD activity, reporting and instructor information.
- Collect data regularly and strategically. Analyze and provide reports for AACSB, program and planning, and evaluation purposes.
- Ensure accurate and timely process mapping related to job functions
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Skills:
- Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in HR or related field with appropriate mix of experience required. MBA is preferred. CPHR considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in human resources and excellent interpersonal, organizational, time-management and communication skills.
- Proven professional network and familiarity with the University Environment and MBA education.
