The University of New Brunswick Saint John welcomes applications for the position of Academic Programming & Student Support Specialist with the Faculty of Business. This is a one-year term, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $49,587 - $64,460 per annum.
Reporting to the Director of the MBA Program, this position will provide strategic outcomes-based leadership in academic programming, class management and program integrity. This position is responsible for oversight of the academic components of the program including responsibilities related to AACSB accreditation and continuous improvement.

Position Summary:
- Represent MBA and liaise with AACSB oversight committee. Manage and monitor AACSB academic requirements.
- Collect data, analyze, and prepare routine reports using academic, faculty and student data.
- Manage, review, monitor and process reports on PLO/CLO review. Manage AOL assessment activities.
- Brief, review, and train faculty and staff regularly on AACSB accreditation.
- Develop/update, review, and implement student-focused policy and regulations.
- Monitor, review, and enforce prerequisites.
- Monitor and record Senate decisions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Develop, implement, and oversee a curriculum review strategy.
- Support student registration, settlement activities, student accommodation and access to university services.
- Schedule regular instructor and student feedback sessions. Arrange follow ups as necessary.
- Manage classroom support, including arranging for markers and invigilators.
- Oversee MBA society budget development and implementation. Oversee MBA Society activities.
- Develop customized programs of study for individuals and organizations.
- Advise and provide program management for part-time students.
- Manage advanced standing, transfer credit assessment, and January starts.
- Advise students on study abroad opportunities and support their transition into study abroad options.
- Identify students at risk and manage program restrictions.
- Track and support academic misconduct complaints (Instructors) and the appeals process (Students).
- Develop and propose a yearly budget and operate within an approved budget amount.
- Develop, maintain, and track budget related to the role (marking, instructor support, invigilation).
- Propose and submit yearly work plan with target outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely process mapping related to job functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Skills:
- Masters in business administration. 3-5 years' professional experience in either the academic or corporate context.
- Experience with Accreditation would be considered as an asset.
- Coaching and counseling experience considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are a necessity.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and able to manage responsibilities independently.
- Able to adapt to changing circumstances, manage multiple projects at one time, and develop/maintain relationships.
