The University of New Brunswick welcomes applications for the position of Clinical Outreach & Engagement Coordinator with the Faculty of Nursing. This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), term position ending October 3, 2023, with the APT employee group. The position is funded by the University Budget with a salary range of $41,787 - $52,233 per annum.
This position is accountable to the BN program Director at the Moncton campus.
Position Summary:
- Collaborate with the Strategist Clinical Programming & Placements (Moncton) to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with heath care agencies, clinical placement personnel, community leaders, non-government organizations (NGO's), partner institutions for community and institution-based practicum experiences to provide rich, culturally relevant experience in a dynamic learning environment.
- Work closely with the other Coordinators - Clinical Outreach and Engagement at Fredericton campus.
- Develop and manage clinical placement schedules for all students and instructors in collaboration with the Strategist. Communicate these schedules to the clinical partner agencies/managers.
- Manage communication of placement conditions of partner agencies to the Strategist (e.g., COVID-19 screening and isolation protocols).
- Manage the clinical requirements of all students and faculty and report any issues to the Program Director, as necessary.
- Manage the Service New Brunswick (SNB) Onboarding Clinical Access form for students and faculty of various times throughout the year as required.
- Collaborate with clinical professor/instructors to arrange for placement-specific access requirements (e.g., security access, computer access, confidentiality forms, review of organization's policies).
- Manages data from the missed clinical time report and advise the Program Director and Strategist of any student(s) that may require supplemental clinical course.
- Supervise compliance with clinical placement affiliation agreements for Fredericton and Moncton undergraduate programs, and out of province preceptorship, in collaboration with the Strategist,
- Support administration of the online assessment application CASA (Collaborative Assessment of Student Abilities). Prepare each clinical course section for instructors and students.
- Manage the CAI (Contract Academic Instructor) process for Moncton campus.
- Point of contact for faculty and students regarding any issues or requests regarding clinical access (access card) and HHN Education Placement Agency on missing information and non-compliance for faculty and students in clinical placements.
Requirements/Skills:
- Post-secondary education in business, secretarial, office administration. A University Degree would be an asset.
- Must possess excellent organization and administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience/skill in administering web-based application and proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), and technical support would be an asset (video conferencing equipment).
- Excellent written/oral communication skills; time management skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize complex and varied workload, delegate and meet deadlines.
- Ability to initiate and organize work independently, meet the timelines of the Faculty and University at large
