The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Program Officer with the Faculty of Management: International Business & Entrepreneurship Centre (IBEC). This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), term position ending February 28, 2025, with a salary range of $47,030 - $61,145 per annum.
IBEC is an integral part of the Faculty of Management. The Centre aims to develop and support entrepreneurial leadership among students by facilitating the delivery of experiential programs and through the hosting of events.
Position Summary:
- Provide leadership in the fulfillment of the Centre's mandate.
- Accomplish current initiatives and identify/pursue opportunities for the development of new initiatives.
- Develop budgets for various projects, develop funding applications, provide financial and activity reports, create networking opportunities, develop, and maintain relationships on and off campus to grow and promote the programs offered through the Centre.
- Work closely with key entrepreneurship faculty and with the experiential learning coordinator to fulfill IBEC's current slate of activities and to grow other initiatives and activities.
- Help administer the experiential components of entrepreneurial courses in both BBA and MBA programs, as well as courses in the area of Business Analytics.
- Support functions associated with the planning, organization, and delivery of the Data Challenge and Apex Business Plan Competition. Webhost certain competitions.
- Plan, organize and deliver various speaker sessions. Webhost some sessions.
- Other responsibilities that will be assigned by the Dean.
Requirements/Skills:
- A Master's degree with preference given to completion of an MBA. Additional relevant work experience would be a plus.
- Previous experience in a management role as well as entrepreneurial experience in the business or non-profit sectors.
- Preference will be given to a candidate who has been exposed to management course work in entrepreneurship or data visualization at the graduate level.
- Excellent webhosting and IT, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the University environment.
- Ability to work with diverse groups (i.e., faculty, students, and administrators).
