The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Clerk PL4 with the Faculty of Computer Science. This is a continuing, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with the SALAC employee group. The position is funded by the University Budget with a salary range of $20.45 - $23.75 per hour.
The Clerk PL4 is responsible for processing and maintaining financial records of the Faculty as well as serving as the Faculty receptionist and performing general office duties.

Position summary:
- Greet, answer phones and email inquiries from students, faculty, staff and public for the Faculty.
- Maintain and monitor operational accounts for the Faculty and provide up-to-date reports.
- Prepare and maintain year-end financial reports for operational accounts.
- Maintain an up-to-date financial filing system (e.g., track payments, locate specific archived materials).
- Prepare and process invoices and payments. Prepare purchase orders and cheque requisitions, bank deposits, issue receipts for participants attending events, prepare travel advances and car rental requisitions.
- Make travel arrangements and process travel claims.
- Prepare applications for new accounts and amendments to existing accounts.
- Liaise with financial services, research services and other departments on financially related matters.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of and purchase office supplies.
- Acquire estimates from external suppliers for furniture and equipment purchases.
- Assist with preparation of annual Faculty budget.
- Photocopy course materials and examinations. Assist with course evaluations.
- Maintain Faculty key and assignment bin inventories.
- Liaise with other departments concerning telephone purchases, installations, disconnections, reallocations, and service.
- Other duties as assigned by the Administrative Coordinator.
Requirements/Skills:
- Diploma or certificate in Office Administration or equivalent post-secondary education. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an office environment.
- Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office Suite and various other computer software such as Adobe, Cascade Content Management System and SharePoint.
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, communication, customer service, and administrative skills.
- Experience in bookkeeping, budgeting, and familiarity with accounting practices.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in an environment with multiple projects with same deadlines and interruptions.
