The University of New Brunswick Saint John welcomes applications for the position of Customer Experience Representative PL3 with the Campus Store. This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), 9-month renewable term position with the CUPE employee group. The position is funded by the University Budget with a salary range of $18.66 - $22.60 per hour.
Reporting to the Manager, Campus Store, the Customer Service Representative PL3 interacts professionally and efficiently with customers including students, faculty, staff and the public about products and services and handles and resolves issues as required.

Position summary:
- Assist customers with product inquiries including course materials, clothing, and miscellaneous items.
- Maintain a neat and stocked register area.
- Process sales, exchanges, and refunds via point-of-sale terminals.
- Process cash, card, and u-Card transactions.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of a shift. Assist with daily and monthly reconciliation.
- Rectify any price discrepancies and resolve complaints from customers.
- Bag, box, or wrap merchandise for customers in store.
- Respond to and address inquiries via phone, email and in person regarding products, orders, etc.
- Stock shelves, clean up, and create displays, as required.
- Assist with completion of online orders, including picking, bagging, boxing, and labeling for shipment.
Requirements/Skills:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least 1-year post-secondary is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' retail sales experience.
- Experience handling cash and reconciling end of day sales.
- Strong customer service skills and a high level of energy.
- Ability to focus on customer satisfaction and interact with tact and patience.
- Time management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a larger team.
- Demonstrated polite and courteous approach to resolving complaints or issues.
- Ability to lift heavy items, walk, and stand.
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately.
- Detail-oriented with good number skills; Excellent data entry accuracy skills.
- Experience in financial reconciliation in retail
