The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Operations Coordinator with the J. Herbert Smith Centre. This is a 1-year term, full-time (40 hours per week) position with a salary range of $40,431 - $50,545 per annum.
The Operations Coordinator, reporting to the Program Managers, will be responsible for supporting TME activities with particular attention towards accelerator programs Energia Ventures, an accelerator program focused on energy, clean technology, smart grid, cyber security, and the Summer Institute, an early-stage accelerator that provides funding and coaching over an intensive 12-week schedule.

Position summary:
- Coordinate and book mentor sessions and pitch practice sessions.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors as required for project delivery and day-to-day service.
- Coordinate visiting guest and speaker hospitality, including booking travel and accommodations.
- Book, schedule, and plan events for accelerator programs and alumni as needed.
- Maintain program alumni relationships, including organizing follow-up sessions and reunion events.
- Manage mentor relationships and coordinate schedules.
- Liaise with program funders such as ACOA, RDC, etc. and report to them as needed.
- Manage access to the Energia Ventures downtown office and outfit the space as needed.
- Manage relationships with sponsors, as well as pursue prospective sponsors.
- Follow best practices and execute outlined program content and curriculums.
- Recruit companies, vetting applications, and assist the Managing Director with company selection.
- Organize any applicable hiring and financial paperwork for successful program applicants.
- Process claims and provide financial management support for programs.
- Represent programs in local community, both actively and passively.
- Collect, measure, and track program alumni information and program KPls.
- Develop new strategic relationships with potential partners within the community and within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements/Skills:
- University Degree within a field of study relevant to the position. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum one year experience working in a computerized, fast paced, interactive office environment.
- High quality written and oral interpersonal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Databases and Office software.
- Basic accounting and budgeting skills, and basic graphic design abilities.
- Must be able to travel.
