The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Co-op/Internship Coordinator with the Faculty of Management. This is a continuing, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $43,900 - $54,880 per annum.
Reporting to the Dean, this position attracts students to the Faculty of Management Co-op program as well as the MBA Student Internship program by meeting with prospective students, advising on eligibility requirements and supporting them through the application process. This position works with other members of the team to implement strategic partnerships with employers and expand program visibility.
Position summary:
- Host information sessions on the Co-op Program and MBA Student Internship Program.
- Provide one-on-one consultation support throughout the application process and address any concerns throughout the employment placements.
- Offer educational presentations to students on job readiness and professional development.
- Implement strategic partnerships with employers.
- Establish new employer relationships. Contact prospective employers and share benefits of engaging with Faculty of Management programs.
- Host employer events, site visits and coordinate networking opportunities as required.
- Foster positive relationships with existing employers that will result in repeat participation in programs and expanding involvement in other experiential programs.
- Maintain records of student information related to participation in the BBA co-op and MBA Internship programs.
- Ensure program CAFCE accreditation requirements are met. Provide reporting and data supporting this process as required.
- Organize and track all work term related materials including, but not limited to, offer letters, employment contracts, funding applications, work permit letters, employer and student evaluations, and reports.
Requirements/Skills:
- Post-Secondary education in Business or a related field. An undergraduate degree in Business would be considered an asset.
- 2-5 years? prior experience in a related field.
- Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Student/employment advising experience considered an asset.
- Program management experience.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
