The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Program Coordinator with the J. Herbert Smith Centre. This is a one-year term, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $44,556 - $55,695 per annum.
The Dr. J. Herbert Smith Centre (JHSC) for Technology Management and Entrepreneurship (TME) is the technology innovation and entrepreneurship hub located within the Faculty of Engineering. The Centre offers unique and innovative undergraduate, graduate, accelerator and research programs designed to ensure students and working professionals with technical backgrounds have the necessary management and entrepreneurial skills to succeed in today's world.

Position summary:
- Coordinate JHSC Programs.
- Coordinate email responses and or distribution to appropriate JHSC staff from general JHSC /TME accounts.
- Recruit students to JHSC programs and provide information sessions and in-class presentations.
- Meet with students and advise on core and elective courses that fit with their academic calendar.
- Approve DTME applications - communicate with students if application is not approved.
- Give SOAR (Spring Orientation, Advising, and Registration) presentations and present to first year students.
- Respond to undergraduate student inquiries.
- Coordinate various student competitions - Communicate with sponsors, guest speakers, student participants and judges.
- Coordinate JHSC annual Future of Innovation Conference.
- Work with the J Herbert Smith Centre to assist with marketing events and communications.
- Coordinate all marketing and communications pieces with appropriate UNB group (s).
- Assist in the identification and promotion of partner activities.
- Assist in collecting and sharing program success stories.
- Create and maintain JHSC calendar featuring all events from each program to share with the public.
Requirements/Skills:
- Post-Secondary Education in Business, Marketing, or Related Fields.
- 3-5 years of coordination experience, student recruitment, and advising.
- 1-3 years of marketing experience, presenting to diverse audiences, and event planning.
- Experience with social media platforms.
- Knowledge and experience with multiple on-line platforms, systems, and programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
