The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Community Outreach Program Manager with the McKenna Institute. This is a 3-year term full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $51,238-$66,609 per annum.

Position summary:
- Develop the overall strategy and the project plan for community outreach programs launched in New Brunswick that foster engagement at many levels of the community including schools, local government, and NGO's.
- Develop and implement community-based programs in collaboration members of the MI Team and with key partners, both inside and external to the University, that supports talent acceleration, community engagement and idea acceleration.
- Develop effective communication strategies on a project basis in collaboration with UNB Marketing and Communications.
- Lead the development of appropriate mechanisms for delivery of new program offerings and acts as a critical point of contact for program delivery administration.
- Organize events such as the Annual McKenna Institute Digital Leader Forum and MI Speaker Series in addition to development of all marketing and communications materials and event logistics.
Requirements/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience and a minimum of 5 years work experience.
- Program development experience within an industry organization, not-for-profit or academic environment.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to define shared goals.
- Project Management experience an asset.
- The ability to communicate and work in both official languages is also an asset.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and execute on program deliverables with multiple stakeholders. Track record of executing major events and community partnerships.
- Ability to work autonomously to achieve outcomes yet easily able to collaborate in teams and with various community stakeholders.
- Experience in community development and program/event delivery.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty that comes with an early-stage organization and building new programs, self-directed and action oriented.
- Experience in building community programs from idea to delivery as well as ongoing project management.
- Proven success in building and managing both internal and external partnerships.
