The University of New Brunswick welcomes applications for the position of Outreach, Communication & Recruitment Officer with Student Recruitment. This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), 3-year term position with a salary range of $41,093 - $51,365 per annum.
Reporting to the Manager, Communication & Conversion, the Outreach, Communication & Recruitment Officer manages and executes a faculty-focused recruitment communication plan to attract, recruit, and convert domestic and international students. This position works closely with other Student Recruitment teams on both campuses.
Position summary:
- Develop and execute Student Recruitment's faculty & program communications plan for prospective students and applicants (domestic and international, undergraduate, and graduate).
- Collaborate with each UNB faculty to develop informative and engaging content for Student Recruitment's digital, social, email marketing, and print campaigns.
- Communicate with each faculty to keep abreast of changes, faculty updates, opportunities, and new initiatives.
- Coordinate with members of the Student Recruitment team (domestic & international) to ensure that all UNB programs are being highlighted and represented in ways relevant to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Communication & Conversion team on the development of creative assets.
- Liaise with the Recruitment CRM Working group on the development/expansion of faculty-based communication plans.
- Curate content for the DiscoverUNB News and automated faculty campaigns.
- Expand each faculty campaign to include multi-step plans, value-added content, and engaging calls-to-action.
- Assist in the building and monitoring of communication campaign work flows within CRM Recruit.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of text message communication campaign workflows for faculty-based text message communication plans.
- Maintain and develop recruitment-owned faculty & program web resources, along with the Recruitment Marketing Officer.
- Conduct regular content audits of program pages, write new web content, and ensure all information is displayed in an informative and appropriate manner.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements/Skills:
- University degree supplemented by two years' direct experience (or suitable equivalent combination of education and experience) in marketing, graphic design, publication production and project management.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively on cross-function and virtual teams.
- Excellent copywriting skills. Ability to deliver quality written communications to a variety of audiences, across multiple channels.
- Experience with digital marketing and good knowledge some of the following is required: web content management system, graphic design, HTML, Social Networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), Google Analytics.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects effectively. Excellent administrative skills including the ability to time manage and work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Ability to plan and work independently and as part of a larger team.
- High level computing skills and experience of Microsoft Office package and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Good existing knowledge of UNB and its program offerings is considered an asset.
- Evening and weekend work will be required as well as travel between UNB's Fredericton and Saint John campuses.
