The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Digital Marketing Coordinator with the Marketing Office. This is a continuing full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with the APT employee group. The position is funded by the University Budget with a salary range of $40,386 - $50,482 per annum.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in UNB's Marketing team by creating engaging digital media and content, contributing to UNB's institutional social media accounts, as well as providing advice, guidance, training and support to faculties and units in support of the university's digital marketing strategy, initiatives and overall online presence.
Position summary:
- Create, edit, and promote engaging digital content to achieve strategic objectives in accordance with web content and social media best practices.
- Coordinate digital media production efforts in partnership with UNB Media Services and other strategic partners.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff on social media strategies, best practices and university brand standards.
- Monitor online conversations about UNB and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Assist in the development, execution, measurement and reporting of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives in support of the university's digital marketing strategy.
- Contribute to the measurement, optimization and management of UNB's social media accounts, and towards the execution and governance of the digital marketing strategy.
- Research and analysis of digital marketing best practices and trends to advance the university's digital marketing strategy.
Requirements/Skills:
- Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business or social sciences.
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design or digital media production is required.
- Skills and experience in graphic design and digital media production is an asset.
- Recent experience with all major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube) is required.
- Experience with social relationship management software, Google Analytics, Google ad words, the Adobe Suite and online advertising would be an asset.
- Excellent relationship-building, diplomacy and communication skills.
- Must be willing to travel between campuses in Fredericton and Saint John.
