The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Technology Coordinator with the Faculty of Law. This is a continuing, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $40,386 - $50,482 per annum.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Technology Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the information technology services to the Faculty of Law.
Position summary:
- Provide level 1 IT support to faculty and staff, as well as the Law Library.
- Monitor, track and prioritize requests. Communicate the completion date to user.
- Implement and support education technology solutions within the Faculty, including online and distance learning platforms.
- Provide support for assistive technology for the visually impaired and ensure that the Faculty's IT services are accessible.
- Develop and support IT solutions for the Faculty to improve the efficiency of administrative processes.
- Supervise student employees. Actively hire, train, assign tasks, prioritize work, and assure that student/client interactions are professional and provide guidance when necessary.
Requirements/Skills:
- An undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or Computer Programming.
- 1-3 years of experience in technological support.
- Experience with assistive technology would be an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer programming.
- Experience and knowledge related university policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to help people.
- Willingness and aptitude to receive training in assistive technology for the blind.
