The University of New Brunswick welcomes applications for the position of Financial Analyst/Internal Auditor with Financial Services. This is a term ending March 15, 2023, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with the APT employee group. The position is funded by the University Budget with a salary range of $51,818 - $67,365 per annum.
This is a University-wide position based on the Fredericton campus.
Position summary:
- Perform detailed risk and control assessments specific to areas under audit consideration, this will include documenting existing procedures, identification of control weaknesses and recommendations for improvements.
- Supporting teams in the implementation of these recommendations.
- Communicating the results by preparing briefing notes and other reports as required.
- Keeping the project sponsors and management up to date on project status.
- Assist with year-end processes and procedures.
- Other work as required.
Requirements/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management with a concentration in accounting and/or finance as well as a CPA designation with at least 3 years of experience.
- Audit experience considered an asset.
- Experience with the implementation of controls including the design, development, and testing of their operating effectiveness.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills including the ability to perform reconciliations of large data sets using Pivot tables and VLOOKUPS*
- Proficient in Adobe with the ability to merge, add comments and export to Excel and Word as required.
- Experience working in a large, complex ERP considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to detail.
