The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Training Coordinator with the New Brunswick Institute of Research, Data & Training (NB-IRDT). This is a term ending March 1, 2022, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with a salary range of $36,523 - $45,655 per annum.
As part of NB-IRDT's training team we regularly offer training and educational workshops. These resources are open to UNB faculty and students. government employees and researchers from other organizations. We offer training in various research methods, software tools and ana lytic approaches, such as cost-benefit analysis and program evaluation.
Position summary:
- Create training initiatives for NB-IRDT needs.
- Coordinate all aspects of training initiatives, including training plans, assisting with curriculum development, timelines, coordination of trainers (internal and external), evaluation/feedback of the training. etc.
- Research into best practices and emerging trends in our planed training initiatives.
- Small Tasks including, but not limited to: Administrative tracking, generating notes from meetings with actionable items, and crafting documentation not included in the first statement.
- Grant application process: either assisting or drafting grant applications to creating funding for training initiatives
Requirements/Skills:
- Post-secondary education in a related field. An undergraduate degree is considered an asset.
- 1-3 years' experience in client service, preferably in meeting and/or event planning.
- Client service orientation, including the ability to consistently meet clients' needs in a friendly, helpful and professional manner and respond appropriately to their inquiries, requests and concerns.
- Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally with a diverse group of people, personalities and backgrounds.
- Flexibility, including the ability to assess and adapt quickly and efficiently with a variety of situations.
- Proficient with Office365 Suite and Adobe Suite. Experience with design software would be an asset.
