The University of New Brunswick Saint John welcomes applications for the position of Research Assistant with the Centre for Research in Integrated Care (CRIC). This is a one-year term, full-time (36.25 hours per week) position with the APT employee group. The position is funded by external monies with a salary range of $41,024 - $51,287 per annum.
This position will be involved research projects throughout all stages of the research process and will also provide support to the stakeholders, staff, faculty, and students who are members of CRIC. CRIC is a living laboratory that develops and evaluates integrated patient-centred models of care for individuals with complex care needs and their families.
Position summary:
- Provide bilingual research project support.
- Take a lead role in securing funding opportunities, complete research ethics board applications, oversee project deliverables, and support the evaluation of new and existing health service delivery models.
- Lead the qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis in both official languages.
- Contribute to knowledge translation activities, including publications, presentations, research summaries, reports and website development.
- Conduct background research, including systematic and scoping reviews.
- Supervise student trainees and provide guidance for relevant projects and/or tasks.
Requirements/Skills:
- Master's degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., health, science, or social sciences).
- Minimum of 1 year health research experience, as part of a team preferred. This includes experience with qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and experience conducting systematic and scoping reviews.
- Proficient in French to successfully assist with many of the Centre's provincial, interprovincial and international projects.
- Ability to work efficiently using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience searching online article database.
- Experience in preparing and submitting grant applications.
- Familiarity with knowledge translation plans and tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
