The University of New Brunswick Saint John welcomes applications for the position of Administrative Assistant PL4 with the Centre for Research in Integrated Care in Nursing and Health Sciences. This is a one-year term full-time (36.25 hours per week) position. The position is funded by the external monies with a salary range of $18.14 - $22.61 per hour.
A bilingual position to provide administrative support to the Centre for Research in Integrated Care (CRIC). CRIC is a living laboratory that develops and evaluates patient-centered integrated models of care for individuals with complex are needs and their families.
Position summary:
- Assist the team by performing daily administrative tasks, including preparation of meeting agendas, financial documentation, notes, PowerPoints, minutes, emails, newsletters, and website updates.
- Support the researchers and the research program manager in the submission of proposals/grants (i.e. communicate with researchers, complete CCVs and other online documentation, and contact relevant funding bodies to answer questions).
- Complete financial documents for UNB financial services and UNB Office of Research Services, as well as other pertinent paperwork. Communicate with relevant departments at UNB (e.g. financial services, HR).
- Manage the Centre's stakeholder lists/budgets/website documents, answer telephone inquiries, send mail-outs, and answer email inquiries
- Arrange and attend meetings as required and take minutes. Occasional travel to meetings.
Requirements/Skills:
- The candidate will have a College diploma or certificate in office administration (equivalent experience will be considered)
- Two or more years' of experience in a similar role (equivalent experience will be considered),
- Experience in a social science or health research office would be considered an asset
- Bilingual essential (English/French).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite.
- Experience with updating basic website content is also an asset.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
