Department of Sociology: Assistant Teaching Professor

The Department of Sociology at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, invites applications for a nine (9) month term appointment in Sociology at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, to start 1 August 2023, subject to final budgetary approval. Applicants must have a PhD in Sociology or a related field along with training and research interests in classical and contemporary sociological theory. Demonstration of a broad competency in teaching across the undergraduate sociology curriculum will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will teach six undergraduate courses in the academic year, including SOCI 1503, SOCI 3312, and SOCI 4004. Other courses will come from those listed in the Academic Calendar and may be based on the candidate's aarea of expertise.

Short-listed candidates will be asked to submit a teaching dossier, sample syllabi, and to arrange to have two academic reference letters sent electronically under separate cover.

Short-listed candidates will be required to provide satisfactory proof of credentials including appropriately certified translations of credentials into English, as applicable.
