The MBA Program in the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick's Saint John campus invites applications for an Applied Research Chair in Professional Sales. This is a five-year term appointment at the rank of Research Associate or Senior Research Associate, beginning October 2022 or a mutually acceptable date thereafter.
The UNB Saint John MBA Program was among the first to offer a graduate degree in Professional Sales and Business Development in Canada. This stream of study was developed with members of our business community and is certified by the Canadian Professional Sales Association. The Applied Research Chair will play a pivotal role in building research capacity, raising the profile of Sales as a driver of success and supporting the profession through knowledge creation and education, creating student interest and opportunity.
The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree (PhD/DBA) in Sales or related field or have a combination of education and experience which positions them to be effective in the role. Academic appointment and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications. A proven ability to design and conduct applied research, build communities of interest, attract financial support, and supervise students is essential to this position. A connection with CPSA would be considered an asset.
The Faculty of Business has a reputation for cutting-edge academic innovation and boasts strong relationships with business and professional communities. With almost 300 students in its undergraduate programs and over 150 full- and part-time MBA students, we offer diverse and unique opportunities for teaching, research, and community involvement.
