The Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John campus invites applications for a tenure-track position in Business at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, effective on July 1, 2022, or a mutually acceptable date thereafter. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

The minimum qualification for consideration is a master's degree in business administration (MBA) and proven experience in strategic planning, including structure, resourcing, financial oversight, and assessment. Prior experience in strategy development, financial analysis, planning, working capital management, capital budgeting, long-term financing, and leading strategic projects with a diverse set of stakeholders would be a significant asset. Demonstrated excellence in post-secondary teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required.

The successful candidate will teach in the areas of general business, strategy, and finance at the undergraduate and graduate levels. An entrepreneurial lens would be considered an asset. This position will have a defined service component that supports accreditation assessment and maintenance through AACSB. This will include strategic program development and planning support, record keeping, analysis and report preparation. This role will liaise with administration, faculty, staff, and students. It is expected that the successful applicant will have a knowledge of the functional areas of business and their interconnectedness such that they are able to provide informed leadership for the faculty in its pursuit of innovative programs and partnerships, an increased and more diverse student body and outcome excellence.

The Faculty of Business has a reputation for cutting-edge academic innovation and boasts strong relationships with the business and professional communities. With almost 300 students in its undergraduate programs and 150 MBA students, we can offer diverse teaching and unique opportunities for research, community involvement and experiential engagement outside of the classroom. This position would be expected to commit and contribute to the faculty focus on experiential learning.
