The Department of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John campus, invites applications for an 8-month limited term position in Computer Science at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, starting August 29, 2022. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

The Department offers a 4-year degree program in Computer Science with specializations in software engineering, networking, and data analytics. The department is looking at expanding its offerings through: teaching graduate courses toward the Master of Computer Science by coursework; collaborating with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in offering programs in Data Science; and expanding its specializations, in particular in Health Informatics.

Candidates for the position must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related discipline and demonstrated excellence in teaching. While applicants with an interest in any area of Computer Science will be considered, those with training and experience in a variety of areas (i.e., covering a wider range of courses offered by the Department), from computer architecture to data analytics, will be given preference. Responsibilities include teaching and assisting in university academic service.
